It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line
Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood
Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously
Pacing 'round like little boys do
And in his hands he held a pair of shoes
His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe
And when it came his turn to pay
I couldn't believe what I heard him say
Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, Sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight
He counted pennies for what seemed like years
Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here"
He searched his pockets frantically
Then he turned and he looked at me
He said Mama made Christmas good at our house
Though most years she just did without
Tell me Sir, what am I going to do,
Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes
So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out
I'll never forget the look on his face when he said

Very nice song..very nice movie! Spent the afternoon of Boxing Day watching The Christmas Shoes, cried buckets..veryvery touching...

Ok so this is going to be a very random entry. Had to play this game during guitar day camp, the game of trust and confidence..you know, when you had to let yourself fall freely from a table, and trust that the people standing on the floor below would catch you before you land on the ground? Yeah that one, it was quite scary..but I'm glad I did it! First time playing that.=D

Had xmas party at zw's house on the 23rd, which also happens to be Vernus's birthday! Mahjionged (lol what a werid thing to do at a xmas party), played a xmas-themed (or so zw claimed) charade and card games, had food and cake :D, and we lighted candles and sat in a circle at night to the sound of christmas carols...sounds cool huh;) Had gift exchange and all that, and I was a bit overwhelmed cos some of the 3006-ers bought presents for everybody! Wah..made me feel a little guilty for not doing so. xp Thanks to everyone who spent the effort to get me something for xmas, really appreciate it..=)

Xmas eve! We were supposed to give Vernus a surpriseee! But the plan failed, bah.
Lol..Manda was supposed to go meet Vern alone at the MRT station, and lie to her that Ningz and I couldn't make it, when all the while we were already waiting in Plaza Sing. And then, Manda would bring her up this escalator in the mall at the exact same time when me and Ningz come down the escalator right beside them, so that we would have a "ca1 jian1 er2 guo4" experience!=D
I dunno what exactly went wrong but things just didn't go according to plan. Hah, Vern spotted us from the floor below before we even had a chance to get to the escalator! I looked down to see her shocked face gaping up at us, and my immediate reaction was to give a loud shriek.
Vern later said she could hear my shriek from the floor below.-.-
OH, another thing. After the miserable failure of our plan, Ningz and I went down to meet them. And I was freaking electricuted on the escalator! I put my hand on the..sliding arm thing>.<, and I could feel this really strong jolt of electricity entering my body, and Ningz, whose arm was probably lightly touching mine, said she could feel it too, which just proves how strong it was. No kidding man!
We went to MindCafe after dining at Swensons. And my feet nearly killed me on my way there. (I was wearing my new heels) I think Manda's feet nearly killed her too. Lol..Vern offered to exchange shoes with me halfway through, and the moment I stepped into her Birkenstocks was instant gratification.=)
